The small groups within Green Valley United Methodist Church provide the opportunity for spiritual and personal growth with others in our church family. It is our prayer that everyone get "plugged into" one of these small groups so each will find lasting friendships and spiritual uplifting that is a result of Christian fellowship.

The Kitchen Crew: We are a family of servants, gathering on Sunday morning for prayer and to prepare a table of love with fruit, vegetables, goodies, coffee and juice served on the patio. Anyone can join the crew at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in the kitchen Donation of baked goods are always gratefully accepted.
Men's Groups
This men's ministry program meets each week for fellowship, devotions, prayer, and Bible or Christian book study. The purpose of the groups is to strengthen Christian men to be leaders of their families, church and community. Come and join the men and grow in your walk with the Lord.
Men of Spirit: Saturday breakfast from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Men of Spirit: Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Women's Groups
Women of all ages and stages of the Christian walk participate in Bible Study, topical Christian studies and mission projects are the focus. If you are looking for a place for support and fellowship, our women's groups are for you!
Women of Spirit: Wednesday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Childcare is provided.
Sisters of Spirit: Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
CHOLLA (Children of Long, Long Ago): This fellowship group for seniors 50+ administers the "Greenbacks" Program providing grocery, restaurant and vendor coupons for purchase of products at various stores. Members also serve in many other capacities such as working in the church office, bolding bulletins, preparing food for fellowship, making repairs, and praying for others.
Crafty Ladies: Crafty Ladies is a group that enjoys crafting and working on projects that are needed in our church. Examples of projects include, but not limit to, the Christmons, the tree skirt for the Christmas tree, the Christmas wall hanging Christmas costumes, Easter costumes, and outreach charity projects. We all work together when we have a church project, otherwise we bring our UFO's (unfinished objects) of our own!
Hiking Group: The hiking group meets the first Saturday of the month. Locations are chosen based on weather or season. Click here to see pictures |
