Fresh Beginnings is the membership information class for Green Valley United Methodist Church. People seeking to join our church participate in this 11 week class. Participating in the class does not obligate anyone to membership. This is an opportunity for people to explore the teaching and culture of our church and to make connections with others before committing to membership. The class meets weekly to discuss the basics of the Christian faith, our local church and the United Methodist Church. This is an informative and fun experience for all!

GriefShare – Grief Recovery Support Group Your Journey from Mourning to Joy GriefShare is a national seminar which uses discussion and video to encourage those who grieve the loss of someone close. Each week’s session is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. DivorceCare – Divorce Recovery Support Group Divorce Hurts – Find Help Do you know someone who is going through a divorce? Already divorced? Maybe you are. It takes a long time and a lot of work to heal the pain that comes with the break up of a marriage. Find Help at DivorceCare. This weekly seminar and support group is for people who are separated or divorced. If you know someone going through or recovering from a divorce, make sure he or she knows about DivorceCare. Crown Financial Small Group Study Crown Financial Ministries is an interdenominational ministry that uses an effective Small Group Bible Study to train adults to practically apply the financial principles from God’s Word. The study is very practical. Each time you learn a principle, you will apply what you have learned. For example, you will complete a debt repayment schedule and start a budget. Students in the adult study receive a Student Manual, the Practical Application Workbook and a copy of Your Money Counts. Crown also has studies for teens and children, beginning at age 3. A variety of classes are offered in the Fall and in the Spring for those wishing to have an indepth opportunity to study God's word, His will for your life and effective ways to grow in your spiritual life. The current class for Fall 2010 begin on September 16, 2010.
