The philosophy of Greenbacks is that everything we have is a gift from God.  We should use His gracious gifts wisely - it's all about good stewardship of the resources that God has given you!

A little background:  The Greenbacks committee works with a nation-wide distributor to purchase gift certificates, gift cards, and Encompass' cards.

The gift certificates and cards can be used at your favorite retailers, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. to purchase items you would normally buy for you won family.  They are also  great to use as gifts.

The blessing to the church is that a percentage of the purchase price of each certificate/card goes directly to Green Valley United Methodist Church!  For example, when you buy a $25 Starbucks card, you still get $25 worth of product, but the church gets $2 from Starbucks.  That really adds up - and it costs you nothing.

The Encompass Cards are sold in denominations of $50 and can be used wherever American Express is accepted - including, but not limited to, Costco, Walmart, Target, Office Manx, Chevron, and Exxon .

Past proceeds from the Greenbacks Program have purchased:

• Pew Bibles
• Fellowship Patio, Lighting & Misters

The process is easy and painless - but the rewards are boundless.  Please stop in and see all the businesses that are included.  To date there are over 500 local and national businesses that are participating!

How to Purchase:  These are sold in the church office every Sunday from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Please let us know which card(s) you would like and we will make sure that we have them for you! Email us at: info@gvumc.org
