Missions >
A.C.T.S. - Assisting Communities Through Service
A.C.T.S. (Assisting the Community Through Service) occurs approximately every other month. Church members identify needs in the community and then arrange to meet those needs with volunteers and materials. On A.C.T.S. weekends, participants gather at the church for instructions and a send-off. Then they head out into the community to show Christ's love to the world.
A.C.T.S. Events
As a direct result of a Sunday morning study of “The Present Future” by Reggie McNeal, a mission project was started with the vision to select projects which would allow us to become visible contributors—and –disciples within our community.
Ongoing Projects
- Book cleaning for "Spread the Word Nevada", a non-profit who distributes donated books to local schools.
- Helping seniors with home repair and maintenance projects.
- Food Pantry - serving needy people with food
- Hats and Hands
- Collect new boxed greeting cards to send to the troops
- Make new Christmas cards from used cards
- Neighborhood cleanup-picking up trash in several public areas in Henderson
- Cove cleanup at Lake Mead
